Greek Cypriots' claims to the "real estate committee" in the occupied territories for compensation of their property within the enclosed area of Famagusta amount to 280, according to the chairman of the "committee" Eifer Ermen.
In an interview with the Turkish Cypriot newspaper "Kipris" on Saturday, Mr. Ermen said that 203 application files have not been reimbursed since 2014 and the total amount of compensation amounts to 750 million Turkish pounds (about 120 million euros).
He added that to date, 6 applications have been made, of which 629 have been reviewed and the compensation settlement has been made, while 1,203 applications for various reasons were either rejected or not considered.
