The mayoral candidate, George, addressed a call to all legal residents of Famagusta to go to the polls to elect the Mayor of the occupied province in the by-elections to be held today, August 25, after the sudden death of Alexis Galanos.
"I call on all legal residents of Famagusta to exercise their right to vote and vote for whoever they prefer for the post of Mayor of Famagusta," said Mr. Stavris, leaving the City Hall of Aglantzia, where he voted.
He added that in the fight for return "no one is left out, we are all together, but we must be ready for what is to come".
Concluding, George Stavris wished to return to Famagusta in conditions of legality, economic viability and security.
