He added that "we will be in constant contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government and all parties" so that there is a reaction as soon as the results of the so-called "forum" that took place within the occupied city are announced.

Moreover, in its resolution, the Plenary Session of the Municipal Council "condemns with feelings of disgust and indignation the unacceptable actions planned by Kudret Ozersay and Ersin Tatar with the partnership of the deep state of Turkey with obvious micropolitical expediencies and plans. The Municipal Council considers that actions concerning Famagusta and which are not in line with the provisions of the relevant UN resolutions. and other international organizations, as well as the results of the recent discussion in the Security Council, create tension and divert the Cyprus issue from the agreed basis of the Bi-zonal Bicommunal Federation ".
It added that "these actions deal a major blow to efforts to resume bi-communal talks and undermine the prospect of a peaceful settlement of the Cyprus issue based on UN resolutions and parameters."
