The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Famagusta in today's announcement states that "representing the vast majority of the business world of Famagusta and the people of Famagusta in general, expresses its deep concern about the developments that have seen Turkey and EFKAF on the total real estate of the enclosed city of Famagusta. "
"We expect, as the announcement states, from the official state and all the institutions that represent it to act responsibly and directly, considering their enormous responsibilities and realizing the tragic consequences that any oligarchy entails."
EVEA and all its members are reportedly closely monitoring developments and demanding the implementation of United Nations resolutions on Famagusta that provide for the return of the city to its legal residents.
