In 2017 it launched new products and in 2018 it focuses on placing more of its products on the shelves of retail chains. The strengthening of its market position in 2017, in conditions of weakening demand, was achieved by squeezing prices and profit margins.

In particular, in 2017, sales decreased to 60,91 million euros, from 61,45 million euros, while its net profit amounted to 0,67 million euros compared to corresponding profits of 1,58 million euros in 2016.

In November 2017, it commissioned an external partner to cover the storage and distribution needs of its products and goods in Attica and Southern Greece.

In March 2018, it proceeded with the issuance of a bond loan of 5 million euros.

The story of Eureka

The Eureka industry was founded in 1959 in Famagusta by Xanthos Sarris and introduces to the market the "super whitening Eureka" in a folder.

In 1960 the first chemical factory of Eureka was built in Famagusta and in the same year Xanthos Sarris proceeds to the establishment of a second company in Greece, under the name EUREKA Hellas, and starts from a small rental factory in Athens.

In this decade, many other products are produced and introduced to the market, such as EUREKA DISH FLUID, AROXOL insecticide, DOR shampoo, MON AMI jelly and caramel, FAMOZO for windows and TIK TAK for toilet.

In 1971 the production of high foam washing powder BINGO begins.

At the same time, the SAFEWAY FOODS food factory is being built and started operating. First product is CREMOLINA, the first soft margarine produced in Cyprus and gaining a market share of 30% in one year.

A tragic milestone in the history of the Group is the complete destruction of the Cypriot company in 1974, due to the Turkish invasion. Chemical and food factories are forced to abandon due to the occupation of Famagusta by the Turkish invaders.

Xanthos Sarris, is directly active in Limassol and a month later, supporting its refugee workers, starts the operation of a small handicraft under very difficult conditions and at the same time proceeds with the construction of a privately owned factory.

In 1977, the privately owned factory of the company Eureka Hellas SA starts operating. in Volos in modern production facilities for all chemical products and the headquarters of the company is transferred to the Industrial Area of ​​Volos.

In 1978, it started an intense export activity, first with the Arab countries and then with expansion to Central and Eastern Europe.

In 1981, Xanthos Sarris passed away and his eldest son Nikos Sarris took over, continuing the successful course of the Group.

Today the Group has developed successful business activities in four countries Cyprus, Greece, Romania and Ukraine, with two modern factories in Volos and Bucharest and exports to more than twenty international markets.
