Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay, who is in the occupied territories, participated in a breakfast organized by the Famagusta "town hall" on the beach of the city of Famagusta, which was illegally opened by the Turkish side.
According to reports from the occupied territories, Oktay said in a statement after breakfast that keeping the city of Varosia closed for 46 years was a sign of "excessive goodwill".
"The theft of such economic value from the future of our children is not in line with rights, justice, law or international law," he said.
According to him, Turkey and the pseudo-state kept Varos closed in the hope of a solution, but the city became home to mice.
He added that now it will be turned into a place where everyone will make a living and find a job and where the children and young people of the pseudo-state will have a future.
"Let there be a guarantee of peace," he said.
He also said that Turkey fully supports the decision of the occupiers' regime with respect for the property rights of all. He added that everyone can find their future here.
