On the initiative of MEP Mr. Loukas Fourlas, an event and screening of the documentary "Varosha European Fenced-off City" took place at the European Parliament on April 8, 2024, in the presence of MEPs and a crowd of people, where the memories of the occupied city of Famagusta came to life.

The event was attended by Mr. Tonis Toumazi, Vice President of Industry of the Famagusta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who had the idea for the creation of this documentary and also undertook its production in collaboration with the "Varosha Initiative" group and Green Olive Productions.

The documentary aims to make known on an international level the status quo that has prevailed for 50 years in the enclosed city of Varosia with the ultimate goal of raising the attention of international organizations, contributing to the emergence of the truth and the correct guidance of the decision-making process.
