The Turkish-American Development Council (ATBD) is opening its second delegation in Varosia, after Kyrenia, according to a report republished by the Turkish newspaper Vatan in the Turkish media.

The first delegation opened about two years ago in occupied Kyrenia. The Honorary President of the ATBD, Ugur Terzioglu, stated that they attach great importance to the economic development of Cyprus as a Council and noted that the interest of British and American companies in the island increased with the election of Ersin Tatar as "president".

According to the GTP, Mr. Terzioglou said that the delegation of the Council "ATBD Kyrenia", chaired by the founding rector of the "American University of Kyrenia", Serhat Akpinar, reached almost 60 members in a short period of time, including British and American companies operating in the pseudo-state.

Turkey, he added, strongly supports the opening of Varos and recalled that Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan himself visited the besieged city. They decided, he continued, to open an office in Varosia as a result of these developments.

"Both our members and the British and American companies we met with want to take part in rebuilding Varos. In fact, we hear that there are companies that are already preparing for this. Keller & Williams, a US real estate company with stores in many countries around the world, has opened a store in Kyrenia. We expect to increase the number of these companies ", said Mr. Terzioglou.
