The Pancyprian Association of Hotel Managers expresses its sincere condolences to the President of the Association Christos Angelides, for the untimely death of his brother Angelos Angelidis, son of the former Minister of Education, EOKA activist and poet Claire Angelidou. Angelos Angelidis was a lawyer by profession and one of the most historic figures in the history of the Anorthosis Famagusta association.
One of the important figures in the history of Anorthosis is Angelos Angelidis, a member of that golden and unique team of Anorthosis that played in the First National in 1974.
He played during his tenure at the High School of Famagusta, with which he definitely won the 1972 championship. (after taking part in the European Championship held in Israel in June, shortly before the final phase of the Pancyprian Championship held in July 1972). Angelidis won 2 Cypriot championships in 1973 and 1975 as well as the 1975 cup.
In 1972 he won second place. He participated in the Panhellenic Pan-Provincial Championship in 1973 where it was won by Anorthosis and then took part in the Panhellenic Championship of the National Team. From the key executives of Anorthosis in the period 1972-1975.
In his last year 1974-75 he fought with his brother Christos in Anorthosis.
