Three days of mourning were declared by the Avgorou Community from Friday, July 14, due to unexpected reports that 32-year-old Mattheos Giorgallis breathed his last as he was hospitalized in a critical condition at the "Papanikolaou" Hospital in Thessaloniki due to intracerebral, intra-abdominal and arachnoid hemorrhage.
During the three days of mourning, flags on public buildings will fly at half-mast while all events are postponed.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 17 at 5 pm at the Holy Church of Apostles Peter and Paul in Avgorou. The family will not accept condolences. In lieu of wreaths, contributions will be made for his two minor children.
