The 30-year-old who lost his life in a car accident in Frenaros on Monday morning did not wear a seat belt.
In his statements, the Spokesman of the Famagusta Police Directorate Andreas Konstantinou stated that "today there was a fatal road collision with the victim Panagiotis Evangelou, 30 years old from Avgorou".
He added that "the victim, while driving his car on the road Frenarous - Avgorou in Frenaros, under the circumstances under investigation lost control of the vehicle, as a result of which he deviated from his course, entered a fenced orchard and collided with a tree, where and was immobilized. The 30-year-old was trapped in his car and the intervention of the Fire Service was needed, while he was transported by ambulance to the General Hospital of Famagusta, where his death was confirmed ".
Mr. Konstantinou also noted that "the victim was not fastened with the safety belt of his vehicle".
Finally, it should be noted that the exact causes of his death will be ascertained during the legal autopsy on his body.
