Members of the Police, who were in a motorized patrol as part of the controls for the implementation of the Law on Infection Cleaning, stopped around 10 last night in an area of the village of Avgorou, a car driven by a 44-year-old man. The 44-year-old underwent an alcohol test with a final indication 143μg instead of 22μg and was arrested for the self-inflicted offense of driving under the influence of alcohol. Also, the 44-year-old was charged out of court for violating the Law on Infection Cleaning (departure after 21:00).
Today he was brought before the District Court of Famagusta, which ordered his release and set the case for trial on 21/12/2020.
The court also ordered the deprivation of his driver's license until the end of the trial.
