The summer holidays have started and thousands of locals and foreign visitors have flooded Ayia Napa and Protaras and in general the province of Famagusta. And as every year, so this year, especially the local tourists who visit the province of Famagusta make negative comments about the slightest thing they notice thanks to the power that the Social Networks now offer them.
The case was similar today, where an internet user misinterpreted a sign of the Municipality of Ayia Napa on a beach and posted it on a well-known social media review page with the corresponding negative comments. He even received a shocking response from the Mayor of Ayia Napa.
Specifically, this visitor misinterpreted the sign that urges bathers not to place their sunbeds and umbrellas between the equipment provided by the Municipality but in the rest of the empty space on the beach, since according to the beach use plans, local authorities have the right to place sunbeds and umbrellas only in 50% of the beach area, while the rest must remain free for use by the public.
The Mayor of Ayia Napa did not miss the opportunity and responded by inviting the visitors with their umbrellas and sunbeds, since, as he mentioned, for this reason there are free spaces and especially in front of the beaches. The specific sign, explained Giannis Karousos, urges bathers not to place their umbrellas between the placed umbrellas of the Municipality.
