The Municipality of Ayia Napa issued an announcement on the celebrations for the National Anniversary of April 1st.
The National Anniversary of the beginning of the Liberation Struggle of EOKA 1955-59 is honored by the Municipality of Ayia Napa.
On Sunday, March 31 at 7:15, there will be a flag-raising ceremony, a trident and the laying of wreaths at the busts of the Heroes in Heroes' Square.
At 7:30 the torchlight procession will start from the busts of the Heroes in Agia Napa Square and continue along Makariou Avenue towards the Port roundabout and back to Heroes Square.
On Monday, the Doxology will be held at 08:30 at the Church of Panagia Agia Napa and the Sermon of the day will be delivered by the Principal of Agia Napa Primary School Antonis Tsokkos, Mr. Dimitris Kofouris. Then, at 11:00, the Band of the Municipality and the church of Panagia Agia Napa will participate in the parade of the Municipality of Sotiras.
