The collection of necessities continues in the Church of Panagia Ayia Napa, with the aim of sending them to our fellow human beings affected by the fire in Greece.
The campaign would end yesterday, however it was extended and will continue until Thursday night.
Those who wish to do so can offer basic necessities, long-lasting food, new or in very good condition clothes, milk and diapers for babies and children, kitchen utensils and cleaning supplies.
According to what Father Vassilios told Famagusta.News, the response from the people is very great, both in the supply of goods and in the voluntary help for meditation of the products.
He expressed his warm thanks to the whole world that has contributed in every way to the effort, and calls on those who can offer, to help our fellow human beings in Greece who have suffered damage or who have even lost their homes.
He also noted that help is coming from all over Cyprus, since citizens from all Provinces rushed to the Church to offer as much as they can, while it is expected that more than 10 tons of basic necessities will be sent to the Peloponnese and Evia.
Finally, he told us that all items are welcome, however there is a need for kitchen items, such as glasses, plates, pots, pans, etc.
Father Basil told us that the items must be in good condition, as we would like them to give them to us if we needed them.
Besides, the slogan written in the image of the campaign of the Church of Panagia Ayia Napa, which is implemented with the blessings of the Diocese of Constantia Famagusta, is "That we would like them to give us, so that we too can try to send something very good. This is a practical proof of love. "
