A tourist swim in a beach in Ayia Napa ended in tragedy, which went out while he was swimming, around 11:00 in the morning.
According to the Police, a tourist from Russia, was seen by other bathers unconscious in the shallows of the sea.
Immediately, the citizens sounded the alarm and the unfortunate man was dragged dead from the beach.
He was then taken by hospital to the General Hospital of Famagusta, where doctors on duty confirmed his death.
Police were called to the scene for examinations, while according to the preliminary investigations, the death of the unfortunate tourist seems to have occurred due to pathological causes. However, the exact causes of his death will be determined during the legal autopsy that will be performed on his body.
Immediately, the lifeguards provided him with first aid, but to no avail.
Police were called to the scene, as well as an ambulance which transported the unfortunate man to the hospital.
