AGIA NAPA: Three arrests for laughing gas

A 50-year-old woman, a 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old man were arrested

Three arrests were made during the night by the Police, in the province of Famagusta, to facilitate investigations related to cases of illegal possession and supply of laughing gas. It is about a 50-year-old, an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old, who are allegedly involved in three different cases of possessing and making available for sale, nitrous oxide.

Specifically, around 12.30 am. today, members of the OPE Famagusta, who were on patrol in Ayia Napa, stopped for a check a 19-year-old man, in whose possession were found a used and an unused ampoule of nitrous oxide, a device for using the ampoules and eight balloons.

A little later, around 2 am, members of the Police, on a road in Ayia Napa, stopped an 18-year-old for a check. During the search, seven ampoules of nitrous oxide were found in his possession and confiscated.

Finally, around 3 a.m. members of the Police, during a search of a property in Ayia Napa, a 50-year-old woman was found in possession of 47 unused and two used ampoules and three plastic canisters.

All three persons above were arrested for obvious crimes. They were taken to a Police Station where, after being accused in writing, they were released to be summoned before a Court.

The Ayia Napa Police Station is investigating the case.
