On January 12, as it seems, the citizens of Ayia Napa will go to the polls to elect a replacement for Giannis Karousos.
The scenario with the candidacies has not been clarified yet, something that is expected to happen next week. Nevertheless, there are names that are heard to end up on the ballot. The name that seems to be "locking" is that of the current deputy mayor and acting mayor, Christos Zannetou for which the support from the Democratic Alarm, as well as from the Minister of Transport, Giannis Karousos, must be taken for granted.
At the same time, processes seem to have started with the party that has the "lion's share" in the percentages in Ayia Napa, AKEL, since based on the percentages of the 2016 Parliamentary Elections, AKEL received 37,82%, DISY 31,58 , 6,92%, followed by the Citizens' Alliance with 6,73%, DIKO with 5,14% and ELAM with 2.418% of the total XNUMX registered voters.
According to information from Famagusta.News, last night's meeting of the local team of AKEL does not seem to have ended in the chosen one who will support, although the names of the Municipal Councilors of AKEL are strongly heard.
