The first foreign boat arrived at noon today with a feeling of emotion from the opening day of the Ayia Napa marina, the owner of which literally toured half of the world to reunite with his family.

The 46-year-old Grant, with the help of his friend Joseph, started fifty days ago from the island of Grenada in the Caribbean, aiming to reach Cyprus. As he explained to Sigma's camera, he made this admittedly daring decision, due to the ban on flights due to the corona. According to him, because he wanted to reunite with his English Cypriot wife and daughter, he took his boat across the Atlantic Ocean.

As Grant himself said, speaking to Famagusta.News' camera, "I crossed the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean just to come to my beloved wife. It was scary. This was my first time crossing the Atlantic. And the reason was because I was tired of calling and listening to my wife cry. I am happy to be the first (foreign visitor to the marina of Ayia Napa) ”.

There, he underwent a coronary test according to the protocols of the Ministry of Health and will remain on board for 72 hours until the announcement of his results.
