The winter swimmers of Ayia Napa cut the traditional king cake and took the first dives of the new year on the morning of Sunday 07/01/2024 at Makronisos beach.
With the good weather as an ally, the winter swimmers ate hot soup, drank hot Cypriot wine and Cypriot zivania.
The king cake was cut by the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zanettos, with him wishing the winter swimmers a Happy New Year and good swimming.
The winter swimmers club also honored the secretary Mrs Tasoula Gerasimos for her contribution to the club.
The swimmers exchanged wishes while the lucky winners of the king cake won various gifts.
