The progress of the construction works of the completion of the emblematic project of the Agia Napa Marina, but also of the facilities of the state-of-the-art, "smart" marina that was recently put into full operation, the media representatives had the opportunity to see up close, as part of their tour on Wednesday July 8, 2020.

Welcoming the press mission, MM Makronisos Marina CEO Mr. Stavros Karamontanis and Deputy CEO Haris Koureas said they were excited about the progress and completion of the project, which will be completed in 2023. , 220 spacious and luxurious apartments in the two impressive towers with unobstructed sea views, 35 luxury mansions, as well as a number of modern shops with amenities and state-of-the-art equipment. "With the completion of the project," said Mr. Karamontanis, "the Marina of Ayia Napa will be the jewel and the ultimate naval destination for travelers and yachts for the entire wider region of the Eastern Mediterranean." At the same time, he noted, "apart from the shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, the infrastructure is being created for the organization of high standard events that will be addressed to both the residents and the visitors of Marina".

During the visit, media representatives had the opportunity to board boats, and to tour the state-of-the-art facilities of the marina, which officially began offering its services on June 1, among the already moored boats, culminating in a visit to Control-Room where they were informed about the procedures and protocols that apply to the entry and exit management in the marina.
According to the updated data of the Marina of Ayia Napa:
- The project largely follows the original schedule. After the lifting of emergency measures, due Covid-19, the construction site from the beginning of May was gradually restarted and the goal remains, with the implementation of innovative approaches and the use of the most advanced technology, to cover any delays and the whole project to be delivered in 2023.
- The marina has a space for mooring and guarding 600 boats (at sea and on land). More specifically, in the port area of the marina will be accommodated 360 boats up to 85 meters long, in Dry Stack will be accommodated 160 boats up to 10 meters long while in the land storage area will be accommodated another 80 boats.
- As for the completion of the works of the commercial zone, it is expected to be put into operation at the beginning of next year. This area of the project covers over 4000 sq.m. with provision for restaurants and cafes, shops and parking space with a capacity of more than 550 places. Ayia Napa Marina will host its own Event Center, Marine equipment store, restaurant and crew entertainment area, while it will have its own Spa & Gym, Yacht Club and Beach Clubs.
- In the field of residential development, the works continue and concern the construction of two impressive towers, each more than 100 meters high and with a total of 220 spacious and luxurious apartments with unobstructed sea views. The project also offers a selection of luxury villas, 11 of them on the West Coast of the project, 12 on the Marina Peninsula and 12 on the artificial island that was built, each of which offers direct access to private berths.
