The Municipality of Ayia Napa sent a letter requesting the suspension of the operation of the Amusement Park in Ayia Napa, in which the serious injury of a mother and her child occurred.

This was revealed speaking to Super Sport fm by the Mayor Giannis Karousos himself, when he was asked to comment on the information that the specific Amusement Park was operating without having before the renewal of its operating license. In fact, the mayor pointed out that the Amusement Park operated under the responsibility of the one who operated it, as he said.

"The Municipality took its measures before the specific accident took place. Inform the legal advisor not to operate until all applications and related licenses are approved. It operated under the responsibility of the one who operated it ", said characteristically Mr. Karousos who pointed out that it is with a letter from the Municipality that stopped the operation of the park after the accident.

"The Municipality did what it had to do to take its measures," clarified Mr. Karousos, who recommended patience until he clarified the whole scenario, saying characteristically:

"First of all we have to see why the accident happened and we are waiting for the results of the investigation to see if the accident would have happened or not? Who is to blame? We are waiting. There are ongoing investigations even in the town hall itself. I have requested an investigation to see how the licenses were issued and with what certificates. We also expect information both internally and from independents ".
