The extradition of the two Serbs to Cyprus will complete the investigation into the quadruple murder case and bring him to justice, Justice and Public Order Minister Ionas Nikolaou told Paphos.

In a statement during his visit to the site of the new courthouse, Mr Nikolaou said that during the investigation of the case that led to the quadruple murder, it was found that it involved two Serbs who arrived in Cyprus last year in order to commit a criminal act.

After the necessary information has been gathered, the Minister said, the necessary European and international orders have been issued.

According to Mr. Nikolaou, as it turned out, after a while, they were in Russia and the other in Skopje, and have been arrested by the authorities, while, as he announced, the process for their extradition has begun.

Asked about the time of their extradition to Cyprus, the Minister of Justice said that these are procedures, which, although regulated to be completed within a certain period, will depend on whether the persons will actually exhaust their power in the first and second instance. , the judicial opportunity given to them in the courts of these countries.

Mr. Nikolaou also noted that he is not able to determine the exact time, but it will depend on the court proceedings in these countries. He pointed out, however, that they are procedures that are completed in a short time.

Soon, when the two Serbs are extradited, the minister said, "Know that an aspect of that case will be completed," noting that this case with the quadruple murder has been completed in a very short time.

The courts, the Minister said, "have adjudicated these cases" adding that, "if we assume that the murder took place in the summer of 2016, in about a year, these cases have been adjudicated and today we are proceeding to complete the investigations in relation to these cases ", he concluded.
