Regular visitors from Great Britain and Austria came to Ayia Napa 104, 70 and 31 times in Ayia Napa and were named by the Municipality as "Ambassadors of Tourism" of Ayia Napa
With the "Ambassador of Tourism" emblem and a commemorative plaque, the Municipality of Ayia Napa honored the British Kevin and Gail Smith (31 visits), Ron and Dorothy Cox (104 visits) and the Austrian Ulrike Dom Weber (70 visits).
The highest honorary distinction of the Municipality was presented to the honorees on behalf of the Mayor Mr. Christos Zannettos, in a modest ceremony that took place in the reception area of the Municipal Building,
the Cultural Officer of the Municipality
Ayia Napa Mrs. Maria Tofini Tsantila.
Mrs. Tofini expressed her heartfelt thanks for making so many visits to Ayia Napa
and for the indirect but important role they play in the promotion of the tourist product of our region in their homeland and abroad in general, since, as he typically mentioned, they represent and advertise it in the most practical and convincing way.
He also noted that they are no longer considered mere visitors but citizens of Ayia Napa.
