The Municipality of Ayia Napa organizes this year, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, its winter events with the general title "Cultural Winter 2019-2020", with the aim of promoting locals and especially foreign visitors, who live in the city during the winter period, through artistic creations and producers the Cypriot and Culture, the traditions of our place as well as the Greek Culture while contributing to the upgrading of the tourist product of the region.
The winter events begin on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 8.00 pm with the performance "Sergiani in Tradition", where the Dance Group of the Municipality of Ayia Napa will dance Cypriot Traditional Dances.
The Winter Cultural Program, which will last until the end of March, also includes Christmas events. It is noted that the lighting of the lights on December 7, 2019 will be marked by the conduct of the 1.5km route where young and old dressed Santa Clauses will run or walk along Makarios Avenue. The next day, Sunday, December 8, 2019, the race part of the Marathon will be held at 8.00 am, which includes the distances of 21km, 10km and 5km.
Also included is the New Year's Eve event and the Feast of Lights.
The public will have the opportunity to enjoy remarkable local music and dance groups, which will present all kinds of music such as classical, concert, jazz, art Greek music as well as dance extensions with various themes, such as ballet, contemporary dance, Cypriot, Greek traditional dances. etc.
The Municipality of Ayia Napa expresses its certainty that through the preparation of its winter program both the citizens and the foreign visitors of Ayia Napa will be satisfied with the quality of the events.
The events will be held every Thursday, in the closed event hall of the Municipality, at 8.00 pm and the entrance for the public is free.
