At the "Giorgos Seferis" Cultural Center, on Saturday, March 23, the Municipality of Agia Napa welcomed the delegation from the Municipality of Pogoni, headed by Mayor Konstantinos Kapsalis, who is currently in Agia Napa for the National Palygenesis celebrations and for the signing of the protocol of the XNUMXnd Phase of twinning between the two Municipalities.
The delegation was informed about the Municipality, the history and the reformation of the city in recent years and informed them about the upcoming reform in the Local Government.
For his part, the Mayor of Pogoniou expressed his special joy to be in Ayia Napa and they were given the opportunity to get to know the place where Hatzimichalis Dalianis fought in Cyprus, who as he pointed out is the man who united the two cities.
The Rector of the School of Fine Arts of Athens Ms. Erato Hatzisavva spoke about the great Greek artist and professor at the School of Fine Arts Giannis Kolefas, whose work was donated by the Municipality of Pogoni to the Municipality of Agia Napa.
The delegation was also welcomed with their own brief greeting by the President of the "΄Aroma" Association of Agia Napa - Friends of the Sculpture Park, Mr. Christakis Pittas and the Protopresbyter of the Holy Church of Panagia, Agia Napa, Father Vasilios Nikolaou. Finally, there was an exchange of souvenirs.
