In his statements, George Chrysafinis, District and Curator of the Famagusta Electoral District said that by 12.30 "a total of 127 candidates from 15 party combinations have submitted their candidacies, of which eight were complete, ie included 11 candidates who are also of Famagusta constituency ".
Asked whether the nominations were legal, he replied that "the 127 candidates had been pre-screened, so that we can be sure that the nominations were submitted according to the law. The law also provides a period of 24 hours for the submission of any objections, which we will examine as soon as possible. "
To another question, Mr. Chrysafinis answered that "there are 114, 393 registered voters in the province of Famagusta, of which about 32 thousand are in the free province of Famagusta and will exercise their right to vote in 54 polling stations. However, because most of the province of Famagusta is occupied, the displaced voters will vote in 191 polling stations located in the other constituencies, namely Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca and Paphos.
He also noted that "most of the centers will be located in the province of Larnaca and their number is estimated at 84".
Asked about the objection raised by the General Secretary of AKEL in Nicosia in relation to the problem that arose in the name of the AKEL Left New Forces, the District of Famagusta said that "in the province of Famagusta the party submitted objections to other ».

Famagusta submitted ten candidates for Cyprus, nine candidates for the Change of Generation, eight for the Active Citizens - United Cypriot Hunters Movement, five for the Awakening -2020, four for the People's Breath, with two for the Animal Party, and one for the Patriotic Party. Floros Tsangaris submitted his independent candidacy.
