For one more year, with permission from the United Nations Peacekeeping Force, hundreds of pilgrims passed through the door of the chapel of Agia Marina located inside the Dead Zone, next to the occupied Deryneia beach.
With tears in their eyes, pilgrims reminisce about the moments when they carefree wandered in their then free place making excursions in the area.
More than 1.500 people sent the thunderous message that the exercise of religious duty is an inalienable right of the faithful there and where there are religious monuments, said the mayor of Deryneia, Mr. Andros Karagiannis.
