A written announcement states that "the long-term efforts made by the Municipality of Deryneia since 2014 with steps to the then Cooperative Central Bank, for utilization by the Local Authority for the benefit of the citizens, to whom the premises belong. In 2019, the Municipality of Deryneia was informed by the Ministry of Finance that the Council of Ministers decided to cede all the properties of the former Cooperative Central Bank to the Municipality of Deryneia, with a symbolic rent to serve local needs ".
It adds that "today four premises with their parking space, such as the former supermarket, the bank, the building materials warehouse and the clothing store, are being renovated to serve the citizens".
