1. During the excavation stage on Omonia Street, the Cyta network was located, which, as it turned out, was not located at the right depth. The need to protect these cables as well as to place them in the correct altitude position was imperative thus requiring an additional period of 5 working days.

2. The execution of the works within the winter period 2020 - 2021 led to a delay of 5 working days due to the rainy weather.

3. The rainfall caused the soil to recede in the positions of the Kokkinochorion Sewerage Council (SAK). Careful removal of existing soil above the pipeline and the placement and compaction of other suitable soil was required to rectify the problem. The restoration work took an additional 10 working days.

4. During the stage of compaction of the sub-foundation materials of the road on Omonia Street, there was a constant failure of the water supply pipeline of the Municipality of Deryneia, as a result of which the need arises to replace the existing pipeline with a new one. An additional 17 working days were required to complete the additional work.

The new date set as the date of completion of construction work is April 16, 2021.

The Municipality of Deryneia apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks the public for the cooperation.
