Discussion with the Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Stella Kyriakidou about the pandemic Covid-19 had the plenary session of the EETP held from 17 to 19 March via teleconference.

The need for proper preparation for dealing with other pandemics that may arise from climate change and shielding of the health system of the European Union, pointed out the mayor of Deryneia and member of the European Committee of the Regions (EETP) Andros G. Karagiannis in the discussion Kyriakidou at the 143rd Plenary Session of the EETP held from March 17 to 19 via teleconference.
Mr. Karagiannis also focused on the need to strengthen the health sector in view of the Conference on the Future of Europe, with particular emphasis on the quality and effectiveness of vaccines, the equal distribution and delivery of vaccines to all groups of the population and especially to vulnerable groups and chronic patients.
The mayor of Deryneia continued, we should encourage the citizens to be vaccinated, respecting their doubts and concerns and condemned any attempts to exploit the health crisis to ensure financial benefit from the sale of vaccines, vaccines and vaccines.
