In Agia Marina, within the dead zone of Deryneia, citizens will be able to celebrate Clean Monday, March 18.

In a statement from the Municipality of Deryneia, it is stated that "after the approval of a request to the United Nations, the public will be able to go out on Clean Monday, March 18 in nature next to the Byzantine chapel of Agia Marina, renovated by the Department of Antiquities, in the dead zone, from 8 a.m. morning until 4.30 in the afternoon".

The Municipality invites excursionists "to comply with the United Nations' recommendations and to limit themselves to the area around the chapel. Private cars will be allowed in the area up to the point to be determined by the United Nations."

It is noted that "the chapel will remain open for pilgrimage, while excursionists will have the opportunity to rejoice and enjoy the enchanting nature with Famagusta as a background".
