The popular poet and President of the All-Cypriot Association of Popular Poets and Friends of Poetry, Antonis Katsantonis, passed away on Wednesday morning at the age of 82, at the Paralimni Hospital, where he had been hospitalized for the last few days.
The funeral of the popular poet will be held next Friday, at 15:30, at the Holy Church of All Saints in Deryneia's hometown.
The AKEL of Famagusta wrote in a post: "Our dear friend, our Folk Dialectic Poet, Antonis N. Katsantonis, left for the long journey at the age of 83. To the Good Comrade Antonis! Your poems will accompany us forever! The funeral will take place on Friday, 01/03/24, at 15:30, at the Church of All Saints in Deryneia. The Provincial Committee of AKEL Famagusta expresses its deepest condolences to his family".
