On February 10, the 23-year-old from the Larnaca district, who was driving at high speed on Saturday, February 1, while he was posting his act on social media, is expected to answer the charges against him before the Larnaca District Court.
The young man appeared before the Court this morning for a case against him for the offenses of reckless or dangerous driving, speeding and not free hands while driving.
However, he stated that he did not have time to find a defense lawyer and the Court ordered him to sign a bail of 2 thousand euros and to appear before him again on February 10 to respond to the charges against him.
According to the facts of the case, around 4 pm on Saturday, the 23-year-old was allegedly driving his car on the Larnaca-Paralimni highway, while at the same time he was holding his mobile phone with which he was videotaping the odometer of his vehicle when 180 ΧΑΩ. The young man posted the relevant video on a social networking page.
The information was given to the Police by a citizen and the 23-year-old was called to the Larnaca Traffic Department, where during interrogation he allegedly admitted to committing the crime.
The young man was subsequently charged in writing with the offenses of reckless or dangerous driving, speeding and not free hands while driving and was released.
The case is being investigated by the Larnaca Traffic Department.
