One of the biggest problems that GESY faces in the first days of its implementation is the limited number of specialist doctors who have already joined the system. The authorities expect their increase over time and the normalization of the plan.
One specialty that both adults and children visit is orthopedics. So far, according to the available data of the Health Insurance Organization, 32 doctors with orthopedic specialty have joined the General Staff.
The 11 orthopedists are in Nicosia, seven in Paphos, six in Famagusta, five in Limassol and three in Larnaca.
