Metropolitan Vassilios of Constantia and Famagusta expressed his gratitude to the Cypriot people for what he said was a massive turnout at the polling stations to vote in the archdiocesan elections.
Metropolitan Vassilios exercised his right to vote at 12:30 noon at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios, in Paralimni.
In his statements he said that the massive attendance of the people shows the will of the people to elect the best as the successor to the archbishop's throne, given, as he said, that the Church always plays an important role in all levels of life in Cyprus, religiously, socially , education issues or anything else.
"I also thank the media for giving us the opportunity to communicate with our people, as well as all our partners who were recruited for this electoral process. I wish you the best," he concluded.
