The authorities of the Republic were alerted this morning, after the arrival of two ships with immigrants through the maritime area of Cabo Greco.
According to the information, around 9 am, information was received about a boat with 16 people on board, all male adults.
After the appropriate procedures, and after the boat was brought ashore, one of the men was arrested as the alleged smuggler of the boat, while the others were transferred to the "Pournara" Immigrant First Reception Center.
According to the information, a second boat with 20 people on board entered the Republic illegally in the afternoon.
The 20 people are at the fishing shelter of Agios Nikolaos in Cabo Greco where their details are being recorded and then they will be taken to "Pournara".
