Zero losses of life recorded from drownings in Ayia Napa and Protaras during the operating hours of the lifeguard units.
In a statement, the Famagusta lifeguard group, "Evagoras", states that from May 25 until today, July 19, there were no casualties in Famagusta District.
Specifically, a total of 77 incidents involving drowning have been recorded on the beaches of Agia Napa, while 19 incidents involving drowning have occurred on the beaches of Paralimni - Protaras.
In total, Famagusta District recorded 96 drowning incidents and with the immediate and timely response of the lifeguards of the Famagusta District Administration, the result was the rescue of all with zero loss.
Let us remind you that the operating hours of the lifeguard units are 10:30-18:00.
