The Criminal Court of Famagusta today sentenced two persons aged 23 and 22, both from Famagusta district, to four years in prison, after finding them guilty of the charges of illegal possession of drugs, illegal possession of drugs with the intention of supplying other persons as well as for illegal cultivation of cannabis plants.
In particular, after a search carried out in their homes by members of the National Security Agency on June 7, 2023, a quantity of cannabis weighing approximately 22 grams, 500 grams of cocaine, five grams of cannabis resin, a precision scale and an amount of money exceeding 100 euros. On the same day, a search was carried out at the 3,500-year-old's home, where a quantity of cannabis weighing approximately 22 grams, a quantity of cannabis resin weighing approximately 500 grams, 565 grams of cocaine, as well as 30 cannabis plants ranging from 15 to 12 centimeters in height were found.
