In the province of Famagusta, members of the Crime Investigation Department, proceeded to arrest a 21-year-old man, to facilitate investigations regarding an investigated case of theft and illegal possession of a firearm and explosives.

The case was reported to the Police, by a resident of Paralimni, on November 19. According to the complainant, around 3 p.m. yesterday, unknown persons stole his car, while it was parked in his orchard, in the province of Famagusta. Inside the vehicle was his shotgun, as well as a bag containing five boxes of hunting cartridges.

A few hours later, the stolen vehicle was found parked in the area of ​​Paralimni, but the gun and cartridges were not found.

From the continuation of the Police examinations, a testimony was obtained against a 21-year-old. The 21-year-old was located in his apartment, where after a search the complainant's shotgun and cartridges were located.

The 21-year-old was arrested for a felony and was remanded in custody for facilitation.
