Province of Famagusta: Three arrests of foreigners who were working illegally

Yesterday, the members of the Police, in cooperation with members of the Inspection Service, of the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance, continued the coordinated actions to crack down on undeclared work.

Specifically, in a coordinated operation that took place yesterday in two properties in the province Larnaca, a total of 10 persons were arrested, who were found to be working illegally.

From further examinations that followed, it was found that one of the above persons presented documents of another person, as a result of which he was arrested for the crime of impersonation.

Also, from the examinations of the officials of the Inspection Service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance, violations for undeclared work were found and administrative fines were issued to the two employers.

Besides, in the countryside Famagusta, after a related check yesterday morning by YAM members in a building, three persons were arrested, who were found to be working illegally.

The above persons were taken to the Police Station of Ayia Napa, where they were charged in writing and released.

Their employer was also taken to the station, who was also accused in writing.

The examinations for the above cases under investigation are continuing.
