The Health Services of the Ministry of Health, in the context of a series of instructions to health professionals for their prevention by the new Coronio (SARS-CoV-2), urge those responsible for the organization, provision of services and beach control, to apply the following protection measures on beaches .
It is noted that the category of employees in the services and / or companies of organization, provision of services and control of beaches, includes all staff who come in direct contact with the public or with places visited by the public.
Personnel involved in services and / or business organization, service and beach control.
- Personnel involved in organizing, providing services and controlling beaches should be trained and instructed in writing on how to spread the new corona (SARS-CoV-2), be able to know the symptoms of the virus and recognize them in time. The aim is to be able to seek medical help, laboratory testing and minimize the risk of infection in both the public and other workers.
- A person with symptoms of new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) should be away from work and contact his or her personal physician immediately by telephone.
- Avoid contact of hands with eyes, nose and mouth to reduce the risk of infection with the virus.
- In coughing or sneezing, cover the nose and mouth with a tissue that should be discarded immediately. If a tissue is not available, cover the nose and mouth with the inside of the elbow and then clean with an antiseptic.
- Staff must wear a mask in case of close contact with the public.
Location of equipment and regulation of activities on the beach
- The minimum distance between the axles of the umbrellas is set at 4 meters, while the minimum distance of 1 meter is defined between the perimeter of the shadow of two umbrellas.
- The minimum distance between two sunbeds located on different umbrellas is set at 2 meters.
- A towel must be placed on the sun lounger, under the responsibility of the swimmer.

- The staff of the beaches are obliged to disinfect the sunbeds - chairs after the use of each customer.
- It is forbidden to sell sidewalks (eg lotteries, beach games), according to the decrees as they are currently amended.
- Reduction to the extent possible of cash transactions and instead promoting intact transactions.
- Until further de-escalation of measures, the use of locker rooms and showers operating indoors is prohibited.
Disposal of food and drinks on the beach
- Implementation of personal protection measures concerning staff based on the Decrees and instructions of the Ministry of Health.
(The operation of food distribution substations and the possible placement of table seats are governed by the relevant instructions and decrees regulating the catering areas, as they are currently modified.)
- The minimum distance between customers waiting to be served is set at 2 meters.
- It is forbidden to sell food on the beach (eg juices, water, sweets, etc.) in accordance with the decrees as they are currently amended.
- Reduction to the extent possible of cash transactions and instead promoting intact transactions.
Water Sports Services
- Implementation of personal protection measures concerning staff based on the decrees and instructions of the Ministry of Health.
- Water sports / sports personnel are required to regularly clean and disinfect the surfaces that customers usually touch with their hands as part of their preparations for the use of water sports services (eg simulation equipment parts, dock handrail used to approach floating media) with common cleaners, ie liquid soap and water, and household solution chlorine or alcohol antiseptic, according to the instructions and instructions of the Sub. Health Center.
- It is noted that cleaning work should be done using gloves.
- Water sports service personnel are required to disinfect the parts of the equipment that the customer comes in contact with after the end of the service / after each customer.
- Water sports service personnel are obliged to disinfect the clothing used by each customer after the end of the service, with appropriate disinfectants or washing at high temperatures depending on the nature of the weaving materials of the clothing.
- Only members of the same family or individuals who will strictly observe the distance of 2 meters between them can participate in each separate floating or aerial means of water sports services.

Sanitary Areas (Showers, Outdoor Showers) - Frequent and proper disinfection based on the Decrees and instructions of the Ministry of Health.
- The staff is obliged to regularly disinfect the sanitary facilities, by posting a relevant program which will be displayed in case of control.
- Careful and frequent cleaning of common objects.
- Supply of laundry with liquid soap, disposable napkins (which will be disposed of in footbaths of nearby sinks), and antiseptic alcohol solution (70% alcohol content).
- Special care must be taken for the systematic, adequate and continuous natural ventilation of the toilets.
- In addition to the usual cleaning of toilets, you often need to clean the smooth surfaces frequently used (eg knobs, handles, switches, faucets, etc.) with common cleaners, ie liquid soap and water, or 3% household bleach solution ( 1 part homemade bleach diluted in 30 parts water) or alcoholic antiseptic. It should be noted that cleaning work should be done using gloves and a work uniform.
- The plastic bags of the bins, when filled, must be tightly tied and removed immediately. The gloves should be discarded immediately after use in the plastic bags of the waste bins and no attempt should be made to clean them, e.g. washing disposable gloves and reusing them.
