The Pancyprian Youth Chess Championship 2019 was held with great success at the Community Council of Frenaros. The Championship was held in 7 rounds from 6 to 21 April 2019 and was held under the auspices of His Excellency the President of the House of Representatives Dimitris Syllouris.

The tournament was organized by the Famagusta Chess Club, which in collaboration with the Apoplous Culture Laboratory managed to turn the event into a real celebration for young and old. All the children who took part received various gifts while they were guided with their parents in both museums of the village.
The championship started on April 6 in a packed hall with the Representative of the Speaker of the House of Representatives Michalis Giorgalas.
In the competition part, the participations in the event are a unique record for the Cypriot data with about 100 children from all over Cyprus chasing the distinction for 3 consecutive weekends.
On April 21, 2019, in a glorious closing ceremony, the curtain fell on the championship after the first winners of each age category were awarded and the new champions of Cyprus were announced as follows:
