A worker from Bulgaria suffered amputation in both hands in the morning while working in a field in Frenaros.

According to the Police, around 10:35 this morning, a 37-year-old man from Bulgaria, a resident of Avgoros, was working in a field in the area of ​​"Spilios tis Pallouras" in Frenaros, located on the road Frenarous - Vrysoullon in Frenaros, owned by a 37-year-old from Paralimni.

Under unknown circumstances investigated by the Police, the hands of the 37-year-old caught the tractor axle, resulting in injury.

The 37-year-old was transported by ambulance to the Famagusta General Hospital in Paralimni where he was examined by the doctors on duty who found that both of his hands were amputated.

The man was then transported by ambulance to a private clinic in Limassol for examination by a microsurgeon.

Inspectors from the Famagusta Labor Inspectorate and men from the Deryneia Police Station went to the scene and began investigations to determine the circumstances under which the new work accident occurred.

The case is being investigated by the Deryneia Police Station.
