Agia Zoni tis Panagia was welcomed today at noon at the Police Directorate of Famagusta by the Police Director of Famagusta and members of the Police Directorate.
The Abbot of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi, Elder Ephraim, today at noon, consecrated the Agia Zoni tis Panagia at the Police Department of Famagusta in Paralimni.
Agia Zoni was worshiped by officers, non-commissioned officers and members of the Famagusta Police Department.
Police Director G. Economou thanked Elder Ephraim for the great blessing brought by the arrival of Agia Zoni to the Famagusta Police Department and asked the Elder to include in his prayers to the Virgin and the members of the police who work several times under difficult conditions conditions and away from their families for the safety of the citizens and in closing he referred to the hope that the next time the reception of Agia Zoni will take place in the now Free City of Famagusta.
In his turn, Elder Ephraim said that the police for the safety of the citizens live in insecurity with all the risks to which they are exposed and wished each of them strength to carry out their duties with the blessings of the Virgin Mary.
