InterNapa College owns the first certified postgraduate study program in the province of Famagusta.
Panagiotis Skattou completed his Master in Business Administration (MBA) at InterNapa College this year. The graduate describes his college experience and explains why he chose the particular program of study.
– How did you find out about InterNapa College's MBA (Master of Business Administration) and what prompted you to pursue this particular master's degree at this particular college? (There are other Academic institutions that offer the MBA, why InterNapa College?
– Is the master's degree you decided to follow related to your degree?
I have studied Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at the Technical University of Patras and towards the end of my studies in Patras I knew that the professional career I would follow would require knowledge and experiences in the field of Business Administration. One of the goals of my professional life was and is to create my own businesses. For this reason I felt that the MBA would help me achieve this goal.
Upon my return to Cyprus, I immediately started work and then I was lucky and blessed to build a wonderful family with my wife. This event postponed my postgraduate studies for some years. Until I was informed by a good friend that InterNapa College was starting an MBA program. I felt that it was the right time and opportunity for me to gain the knowledge and experiences that an MBA can offer.
– We would like you to tell us a few words about the college. Your first impressions of the environment, the facilities, the fellow students and in general your daily life in the college area?
As I have said, I have studied in Patras and have experienced the academic institutions of Patras up close. I have also visited several private Universities in Cyprus through my activity as a trade unionist during my student years. In terms of facilities, I find InterNapa College to have excellent facilities, with fully equipped classrooms, auditoriums, modern laboratories and common areas for students. With my fellow students we had and still have excellent relations.

– A few words about the courses. What are your 2 favorite subjects and why?
I have to admit that I enjoyed most of the courses, but the ones that stand out are Managing Financial Decisions & Accounting and Global Leadership & Organizational Behavior. I chose the first one because I think it relates to the daily life of a person who makes daily decisions regarding the business. Regarding Global Leadership & Organizational Behavior I would say that I was excited by the deep analysis we did during the course on power and how power in general is used or can be used for entrepreneurial purposes and not only.
– A few words about the teachers. How do they approach the students, what have you learned so far from them and if there is anything that impresses you in the way of teaching
First of all, I want to thank all the professors with whom we worked. Their guidance was especially important for all students I believe. Also, the teaching method was done in an interactive way which resulted in the active participation of all of us in the course. I have learned a lot but the main thing I have gained from my teachers is confidence. In the modern age, all information is available, mostly for free, on the internet. Anyone who wants to gain some knowledge can do so by reading books, research, etc. Being able to use this knowledge in everyday life and in business requires self-confidence. This particular program is directed at people who want to deal with Business Administration, therefore at people who want to lead. And the greatest quality that in my opinion a leader should possess is confidence. My professors at InternNapa helped me a lot in this area and I thank them very much.

– Do you think that what your college and master's degree offers correspond to the tuition you are required to pay? Is it possible to receive the state sponsorship if someone is a beneficiary? Was there ease of payment for tuition fees?
Value for money as we learned in college. The value of what we have received is far greater than the amount we have given. There is of course the possibility of securing student sponsorship and the college offers payment facilities.
– Assuming that one of our readers is interested in doing an MBA, what would you tell them about your experience at InterNapa College? Would you encourage him to start?
I would definitely encourage him to start it. As I said before, it was a very beautiful experience, which required a lot of effort, effort and time on the part of the students. But the result was really worth it.
