State agencies were alerted on Friday afternoon after information about a boat with migrants in danger off Cape Greco.
Members of the KSED and the Port and Maritime Police participated in the rescue operation.
Specifically, a boat with 60 Syrians was spotted sailing in the sea area of Cabo Greco. Immediately, 3 vessels of the Coastal and Maritime Police rushed to the scene and escorted the boat to the Ayia Napa Marina. The rescue operation was completed around 8:00 on Friday night.
According to the information, 41 men, 9 women and 10 children were on board the boat.
