In the presence of the Deputy Minister of Welfare, Mrs. Marilena Evangelou, the inauguration of the Special Center "Apostolos Pavlos" in Liopetri was held on Friday 08/02 in the morning.
The inauguration and consecration took place on the occasion of the renovation of the Center and the extension that has been made to the "Agapi" house and hospitality for people with special abilities.
In her greeting, the Deputy Minister of Welfare stated that the inauguration is important for the purposes of the social policy that we promote as a state.
He added that all facilities and opportunities must be provided to people with special abilities through the development of skills and training so that we can have the inclusion of people with disabilities in society.
The Deputy Minister thanked the management and staff of the school because they strengthen the efforts made to have other family-type small residences that will accommodate adults with disabilities.
The President of the Board of Directors, Adamos Kakouris, was moved and said that "the projects are your creation and we must all understand that. We are here to implement what you offer us, not only your financial but also your material offer".
In closing, he added that "it has been a decade since we started, our work was not easy, we fought a lot with your offer and today we managed to feel very proud".
The event closed with songs and music by the children of the St. Paul's Special Center in Liopetri.
