The candidate for mayor of the Municipality of Agia Napa, the new Municipality that will comprise Agia Napa, Sotira, Liopetri, Avgorou and Achna, is the accountant Martis Martis.

"Dear fellow citizens,
The creation of the new Municipality of Agia Napa with the consolidation of the Municipalities of Agia Napa and Sotiras, and the communities of Avgoros, Liopetriou and Achnas within the framework of the Local Government reform is a great challenge for all of us.
A challenge that all the citizens of the region are called upon to face. It is a challenge with new development prospects for our region, with expanded and quality services to every citizen of our new Municipality.
It takes hard work, consensus, determination and mutual respect to turn this challenge into an opportunity for our region. We need participation and mutual understanding in order to successfully implement the reform.
I vouch for my twenty years of presence in the local government as a Municipal Councilor of the Municipality of Sotiras and with a high sense of responsibility I announce my candidacy for the position of Mayor of the new Municipality of Agia Napa - Sotiras - Avgorou - Liopetriou - Achnas.
My goal is to create conditions for development, progress and prosperity together. Together we can achieve the goal of a model Municipality with our citizens at the center."
