In recent days, the admission of patients with coronavirus to the General Hospital of Famagusta, which continues to operate as a Reference Hospital, has increased. 

According to what the Scientific Director of the Hospital stated in Famagusta.News, today 21 patients are being treated at the Reference Hospital, 3 of which are in the Intensive Care Unit.

The youngest patient is 20 years old and the oldest is 88 years old, with the average age of the patients being 49 years.

According to Ms. Hatzigianni, the majority of patients are now younger, close to 40 years.

Ms. Hatzigianni also stated that all patients in the hospital are unvaccinated, except for one patient who received the first dose.

Symptoms include a respiratory infection such as fever, shortness of breath, cough and myalgia.

So far, 2 discharges and at least one introduction are expected.
